Nintendo Shows upcoming Ultimate NES Remix 3DS include NES Remix and NES Remix 2 at its live Treehouse event

Nintendo showed off its upcoming Ultimate NES Remix for 3DS during its live Treehouse event today.
The game is a combination of both NES Remix and NES Remix 2 for Wii U, but with some new additions.
The big news was the mode called "Speed Mario." Everything is faster. Even the title screen has changed, and all game play is faster, from music to the enemies. The notable exception is the heartbreaking "Game Over" music.

Nintendo Live @ The Treehouse, Featuring Super Smash Bros. 3DS, Bayonetta 2, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Hyrule Warriors and More

Nintendo’s Live @ The Treehouse event is underway and will show eight hours of gameplay from titles such as Bayonetta 2, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Fantasy Life, Hyrule Warriors and of course Super Smash Bros. 3DS.

What makes this Treehouse stream so special is that it is being filmed inside the Treehouse itself, which is normally off-limits to outsiders. You can out the livestream just below.

PS4 and Xbox One version of GTA 5 looks great in action

Earlier today, Rockstar announced the release dates for the PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One versions of Grand Theft Auto 5. Now they're giving us a look at what this updated version of the game looks like on new hardware.

This new version is said to include further draw distances, higher resolution and a slew of new content. Grand Theft Auto 5 is coming to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Nov. 18 and to Windows PC on Jan 27. Check out the full post for details on new content and the bonus stuff Rockstar is giving players if they also own the PS3 or Xbox 360 version of the game.

Trade in Your Old iPhone, Pre-Order an iPhone 6 and 6 Plus

The iPhone 6 and it's big brother, the iPhone 6 Plus, go on sale tonight at midnight, PST. Apple's inventory will undoubtedly be drained before the weekend, or maybe even the day, is over. With that in mind, we've got laid out links to the four major carriers for your pre-ordering pleasure, since Apple's site will likely be crushed with traffic. Also, if you prefer to order directly from Apple but can't get on the site, try using the Apple Store App.

When the pre-order floodgates open at midnight, here's where you want to go:
Pre-order the new iPhones from Verizon Wireless
  • Verizon will give you $200 in credit for an iPhone 4, 4S, 5, or 5C, and $300 for an iPhone 5S, towards the cost of your new iPhone with two-year contract.
Pre-order the new iPhones from AT&T
  • AT&T is offering the same trade-in values as Verizon:  $200 in credit for an iPhone 4, 4S, 5, or 5C, and $300 for an iPhone 5S, towards the cost of your new iPhone with two-year contract.
Pre-order the new iPhones from T-Mobile

Pre-order the new iPhones from Sprint

If you'd rather have cash or store credit for your old device - not just an iPhone - plenty of retailers will buy it off you.
To see what kind of deals are being offered, we ran through the trade-in estimators for an iPhone 5S. Here are the results:

Best Buy offered $300 in the form of store credit.
uSell offered $252 for a the phone in "good" condition.
NextWorth offered $192.

You an even get some money for a phone with cracked or otherwise damaged screen. It may not be a lot, but it's better than letting it rust in a desk drawer

Super Smash Bros.3DS Several Leaked Characters in Japanese Gameplay Streams

Several weeks back the internet was set afire with the leak of what was purported to be the final roster for the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, with a large number of unconfirmed characters – such as Bowser Jr., the Duck Hunt Dog, Ness, and more – making an appearance.

Since then, one of the initial leaked characters, Xenoblade Chronicles‘ Shulk, has been officially confirmed by Nintendo, but a number of the leaked characters still have not been officially revealed, though numerous Japanese streams that are apparently from early copies of the game do seem to confirm some of the characters we will be seeing in the final game.

PS4 Outsells Xbox One Again in August According to NPD Sales

The NPD  just released its monthly results for August, giving us a glimpse on the situation of the US brick and mortar console market.
Quite surprisingly (or maybe not too surprisingly) the PS4 version of Madden NFL 15 outsold the Xbox One version, and the same can be said about Diablo III, as you can see from the ranking below. The NPD ranks the platform list in order of sales, but it’s worth mentioning that they don’t count bundles, so if you consider those it may very well be the other way around for Madden.
  1. Madden NFL 15 (PS4, Xbox One, 360, PS3)
  2. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls (PS4, Xbox One, 360, PS3, PC)
  3. Minecraft (360, PS3)
  4. The Last of Us (PS4, PS3)
  5. Call of Duty: Ghosts (360, Xbox One, PS4, PS3, PC, Wii U)
  6. Lego Marvel Super Heroes (360, PS3, Wii U, PS4, 3DS, DS, Xbox One, Vita, PC)
  7. Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare (360, PS3, PS4, Xbox One)
  8. Watch Dogs (PS4, 360, PS3, Xbox One, PC)
  9. Battlefield 4 (360, PS3, PS4, Xbox One, PC)
  10. The Lego Movie Videogame (360, 3DS, PS3, Wii U, PS4, Xbox One, Vita)

TGS 2014: Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono Visits Sony, Teases Something; Is His Mysterious PS4 Game

Capcom’s Head of Consumer Games Development Division 2 Yoshinori Ono is on the move, and more precisely he just visited Sony Computer Entertainment America’s headquarters, meeting with VP of Publisher & Developer Relations Adam Boyes.

Today he posted a couple Tweets showcasing his visit, and the text definitely seems to tease something mysterious being talked about during the meeting.

Metal Gear Collection 2014 Image in Kojima Tweets

Hideo Kojima, the famous director of the Metal Gear Solid franchise, tweeted a single image with the following words displayed: “Metal Gear Collection 2014″:

The last remastered collection for the series was the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for PS3, Xbox 360 and PS Vita. What’s interesting to note is that it says Metal Gear in the picture and not specifically Metal Gear Solid. I wonder if this hints at a new collection featuring the first Metal Gear title released back in 1987.
